    Hello,

I’m testing the plugin and have created several test games and test companies locally, but they are not showing in the pages that are created where the shortcodes are written.
    Are the following shortcodes correct?

    [geekpress type=”companies”]
    [geekpress type=”games”]

Yes correct, you can also set this up from admin panel. Go to GeeK! Dashboard -> Custom Pages (Sub tab) and you can create custom pages from there.

I’ve tried several times, but the content of the local created companies games and movies is not showing on the frontend of the website. Just the name of the site is shown (Companies, Games or Movies) and that’s it.

An also adding platforms is not possible because it shows white screen after pressing the “Add” button in the Platforms tab.

    Hello again,
Are you sure that the JS files are correctly implemented? If you are using any cache plugin, try disabling it. /wp-content/plugins/geekpress/source/ui/catalog.js should be correctly added to your site, you can confirm this by checking the page source. Additionally, if you send me the link, I can check it as well.

Yes, it is loaded correctly. I can not send you a link because it is a local fresh installation of wordpress with the default themes, in order to test the plugin before implementing to a website.

Did you try to disable other plugins for testing? And can you send me console.log error if you have one.

    Thread Starter Astibojr

    (@astibojr)

Yes, all of the other plugins are disabled. There are no errors in the console. The only error I get in the debug.log file is when I deactivate and after that activate the Geek! plugin.

    made by activate_plugin, do_action(‘activate_geekpress/geekpress.php’), WP_Hook->do_action, WP_Hook->apply_filters, GEEKP_Installation->tables, dbDelta

Can you check the database installed correctly. you can see all the tables on readme txt that should be installed correctly

    Thread Starter Astibojr

    (@astibojr)

Yes, the DB is installed correctly. Again I run a new fresh wp installation, and the same thing it’s happening, nothing is shown on the frontend pages.

Can you send me a screenshot from the page that you have created and also which localhost program you are using? (For example xampp?)

Everything seems legit. Can you change your theme and try again. If this solve the problem, I would like to know your theme name, so I can check it.

I tried with the 3 default themes that are in the wp installation folder, the twentytwenty-four, twentytwenty-three and twentytwenty-two and the result is the same.

That’s very interesting because the plugin works in all my local tests. It might be that the browser is somehow blocking the JavaScript codes. Have you tried using a different browser? However, if you can access the demo data on the?https://geekplug.in?site, we can rule out that possibility. In that case, there might be an issue with your XAMPP settings; you could try using a different localhost program. I am using XAMPP and it works perfectly.

Yes, the data from the?https://geekplug.in?site is accessible and it is shown. I’ve also tried to install a fresh test site on a hosted domain publicly, and the same thing happens, the data that is created manually, is not shown.

I just tried with MAMP, and the result is the same, nothing is shown, even on the new page Engines..

“The strange thing with this new installation is that an error shows up when i want to add new game or new company, but when I’m adding new engine for example, it creates successfully in the DB.”
