Created a working version of this plugin

  • Took the Twitter authentication fix (by cheche) and added some code to add the live blog url to the Twitter update and created a new version of this plugin, since there don’t seem to be many good live blogging plugins available, and the plugin author seems to have abandoned this project.

    I will try and submit it to the repository So that there is at least one alternative for live blogging that works on WP 3.8 (without embedding a live blog hosted elsewhere).

    I am not experienced with coding, so no idea how the submitting process happens, in the meanwhile this plugin works with WordPress version 3.8 and tweets the status update with hashtag (if any) and link to liveblog without any problems. I am using it at https://aamjanata.com

    Thanks very much for updating the plugin – I’d be interesting in folding your changes back into the main plugin rather than creating a fork – I’ve got the code on GitHub here: https://github.com/cnorthwood/liveblogging.

    I am no plugin coder. Just did it because there wasn’t a properly working plugin for live blogging at all. You tell me what to do.

    I have added you as a contributor in that one too, as well as mentioned clearly that it was an update.

    Or you could just use that update and we can continue using your plugin and I abandon that one? ??

    Whatever the solution, I’d love to see it soon because the “plus” version has a significant bug that it shows up twice in the plugin listing, and only one of them can be successfully activated.
