Create Wishlist with Alerts

Is it possible to use this plugin to create a wishlist feature? I would like to let users add/select things they want to be alerted when new posts matching their criteria are created/added/updated.

Also, I’d like users to be able to favorite existing content from the post itself and add it to their wishlist? I know this plugin can do this, but can it be compatible with the wishlist concept?
