Create website on desktop to upload to host later?

Sure. My favorite local dev tool is “Local by Flywheel”. It’s a one-click setup for a WP site and you can use any of the export/migration plugins to move your content to a WP host.

Many thanks, Steven. I’ve used a what you see is what you get builder previously, but I find it tends not to work well due to updates and extra costs. This move is one I should have made years ago, so being able to tinker about on my desk top gives me a chance of plenty of practice.

I have downloaded it successfully, however, it will not open on my computer stating that I need to adjust the bias. This is well above my skill base and reading about it I just get totally lost! Any ideas on how this can be done?
