Create tooltips in javascript

  • Six months of using this plugin and I still think it’s great. Thanks for all your hard work, Gerkin.

    Right now I’m working on adding some dynamic functionality through ajax and javascript and I would like to add some tooltips to the text that is javascript is generating. How difficult would it be to create, through javascript, the proper tooltip event handlers for any given element? Thanks.

    Hi, sorry for the delay,

    This plugin use qTip2, which extends jQuery prototype. You can check out the docs of qTip2. Note that you need to load the plugin resources: either

    • go to the settings of iThoughts Tooltip Glossary and enable the option to force resources loading
    • or simply create a tooltip on your page (the tooltip generation loads resources automatically

    Then you should be good to go ??
