• I wanted to create a WPDATAACCESS Shortcode. I followed the instructions of your help. Is :
From the menu click “WP Data Access” > “Manage Plugin”
    Click on tab “Front-End Settings”
Click on the table or view your want to grant access to (multiple selections possible)
    Save your front-end settings

But when I select the table by double clicking on it or selecting it and activating the SAVE button nothing happens. Do you have any advice to give me? Cordially.

    Hi Spounch,

Can you send me your system info? To copy this info click on menu item “Manage Plugin” > tab “System Info” > button “Copy to clipboard” and paste it into a reply. You can remove info you don’t want to share in public.

Can you also add the URL of the instruction page? Are you using the shortcode from the Data Publisher? Or directly on your web page?

    Best regards,
    Peter

In fact, I just managed to display a table from my database. I now have to customize it. Thank you for the speed of your support. I discovered this Plugin, because I got bored of the Plugin Wpdatables which breaks problems. From the little that I see of WPdataaccess, it looks at first sight effective. To discover. Cordially.

I have a rather complex table and I need to display it in a specific order. I have the need to write the SQL script. I followed your documentation which is well done. I left ‘Data-Explorer’, clicked on ‘/ Execute-Script’. I downloaded the script and had a confirmation that the script had been downloaded successfully. However, I can not find it anywhere. Could you tell me what I miss to get my table from my downloaded script?

    Hi Spounch,

Sorry, I’m not following you. Are trying to process a script file or export a table?

If you click on “Import data/Execute scripts” you can select a file which will be uploaded and processed when you click the OK button. This will not download anything. It will just process your script file.

If you want to export a table, just click the export button. Export files will be written to the download of your browser.

    Hope this helps…

    Best regards,
    Peter

I thought that downloading a script would produce a table like SQL produces a view. In fact, I need to display a table with an ‘ORDER’ on at least 4 rows. I can display tables from the SQL database of my site. In ‘DATA-PUBLISHER’, the field allowing to act on ‘ORDER’ seems to act only on the sorting of a single column. Or I did not find the right syntax. Because in the example it is given only for sorting a single column. I have an imperative need to sort on at least 4 columns. You give the following example to add a sort: ‘3, desc’. Is it possible to add following being sorted? And what syntax to use, either a comma or a space or another character? I have tried several possibilities, but I can not sort my table into multiple columns. Best regards,

I wanted to write ; ‘Is it possible to add following other sorts?’

    Good point!

At this time you can only sort on one column, but I added this feature request to my to do list. It’s just a small adjustment I think, so I hope to add it this week. I’ll let you know…

    Thanks! ??

I am impatient because otherwise I can not test your plugin. From the little that I could test WPDATAACCES I find it light and responsive and it’s very nice. As I have used WPDATABLE for a long time, I clearly see the difference. Especially since the latter is destroyed when we add settings over time, we must start the whole table. Thank you in advance for your next update of your Plugin which also seems already very complete.

I resume the practice of WpDataAccess. Thank you for modifying your pluggin to allow sorting on several columns. I want to process a table in my database from ‘Data Projects’. I go to ‘Data Projects’ and ‘edit’ in order to hide columns by unchecking the boxes checked off columns that I don’t want to appear. But it does not work and I have searched a lot. It is without beginner knowledge. I looked in the tutorials in videos, but I find it hard to understand, because it is in English. Can you remind me of the main conditions to be met in order to hide the columns.

    Hi Spounch,

    Can you add these screenshots:
    – A screenshot of you Data Projects settings
    – A screenshot of the result page

Can you also add the shortcode you are using?

    Thanks,
    Peter

How do I send the screenshots to you?

    Thanks!

Your shortcode looks fine. Maybe you can temporarily upload a screenshot somewhere? And add the link to a message. If you prefer to send it to me in private you can use the contactform on the plugin website.

    Best regards,
    Peter
