You can easily do that by creating custom template and adding do_shortcode with the dynamic value of query string. For example yourdomain.com/events/?category=meeting then you can get query string value from the URL and assign into the [events categories="ASSIGN VALUE FROM THE QUEYR STRING HERE"]
