Create RSS feed to import posts

    I have several thousand posts in text form I want to upload to my WordPress blog. I’m thinking the best way to do this is to create an RSS feed and import them I’m looking for a tutorial on the available RSS tags be able to control publishing rate. These are the tags I have at this point I’m sure there must be a lot more to control different aspects.
    I would like to be able to control the date and time that they’re actually published on my site.
