    Good night everyone.

    I like to write my wordpress blog post from google docs or stackedit or even via mail, then send it to wordpress for publication.

    When adding a podcast episode, an MP3 file contained into the wordpress media library, how I am supposed to do it?

    Is there a syntax or short code I could use to insert the link to the file, so that powerpress knows it’s a podcast episode?

    As far as I know, there is no way to do that automatically unless there is another plugin that will do it. You have to put the media URL in the Podcast Episode box for it to be a Podcast Episode post.

    Hello @tsolignani,

    Just to clarify the issue, WordPress allows you to upload images, videso, audio files for your blog pages. You can technically upload 10 audio files and link them all in the post, which is great, but not helpful if you wanted to syndicate them as a podcast episode. This is because a podcast episode must have only 1 audio file associated to the blog post. In addition, there is a lot of additional meta information you need to specify beyond just the media URL for an episode. If you dig deep into the episode box you will find there are fields for Apple podcasts, explicit settings, etc.. This all needs to be curated per episode. Your biggest challenge, if your going to be posting your podcast on Apple and other podcast directories, is bandwidth. If you host your files on your same server as your website, as your podcast audience grows so will your bandwidth usage and requirements during episode releases. When your podcast starts gaining an audience it will negatively impact your website. It is a good practice to host your podcast media files on other infrastructure for this reason.

    Hello @tsolignani,

    I wanted to follow up if you ever found a solution? Going from a Doc to WordPress for a podcast is not ideal as you may have found over time, as you will want to customize the other podcast fields after pasting int the blog post.
