Hello you, I’m looking for support solving this issue. When using the PostData fields in a Create Post form, I wish to predeterminate the category to a certain value only. Locking the user ability to change it, preferably hidden from the user. I shall be grateful for your assistance implementing it. Thank you.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @menzah

    I hope you’re well today!

By default you can only enable/disable option to allow category selection but not limit it – it’s either all or nothing.

I think there might be some workaround for this via additional code but I need to consult it with our Forminator Team.

I asked our developers for assistance and I or one of my colleagues will update you here as soon as we get additional info.

Please note though: our developers are dealing with a lot of complex tasks on daily basis so their response time might be slightly longer than our here on support forum. We’ll update you here as soon as we get to know more.

    Best regards,
    Adam

    Hi @menzah,

As stated in our previous reply we have already raised this with our developer and checking if there is any workaround that could be shared regarding this.

I’m afraid, there isn’t any update that we have to share at the moment, we’ll keep you posted once we get further feedback asap.

    Kind Regards,
    Nithin

Hey there, @menzah, Jorge here following up.

Our SLS support provided the following code that you can download from here.

Just make sure to change public $hide_default_category = 0; to public $hide_default_category = 1; you will find this on line 26.

In order to use it, you need to save this file on your mu-plugins folder, it must be located on your wp-content folder, if it doesn’t exist, you can create it.

Let us know how it goes.

    Regards,

    Jorge

    Hello @menzah ,

We haven’t heard from you for a week now, so it looks like you no longer need our assistance.

Please feel free to re-open this ticket if needed.

    kind regards,
