Create New Page will load, but then become unresponsive

  • Everything w/n my admin section was working fine. This morning, I went to try to create a new page by going Page > Add New. The New Page content will load; I see everything that I would expect to see. A pop up appears saying “Welcome To The Block Editor” is visible. I click on the pop up to dismiss it, & my page becomes unresponsive.

    I have tried w/n multiple browsers, on multiple devices. To no avail.

    Any ideas on what the issue could be?
    Is this a bug w/n 5.6?

    It’s not something I have seen on any of my sites. Have you tried reinstalling WP?

    I tried reinstalling via the admin control panel, but I’m still getting the same error. I also tried editing an existing page, & it too produces the same behaviors as when I try to create a new page.

    Did you check the file/directory permissions on your hosting server?
