I created a navigation to go in the header, but when I try to create a new navigation in the footer, it immediately populates it with the same links that are in the header.
If I add a link to the navigation in the footer, it appears in the header. (Just as with a Reusable block).
I hope this isn’t how Twenty Twenty Three is intended to be.
I need to create different navigation menus. I’ve searched online for ways to create a new menu in Twenty Twenty Three, and have been unsuccessful.

Hi @andynick when you add the navigation block it will be added with menu items on the header. However, you should be able to remove and add new menu items without affecting your other navigations. I have added a short video to show how I would usually change the menu items on the navigation block.

Let me know if that helps.

Thanks @thelmachido but I’m not sure you read my post properly. When I edit the navigation in the footer, any changes I make are immediately reflected in the header. (Just as with a reusable block).
Creating a new navigation has exactly the same result. It immediately populates with the original navigation items, and if I add or delete any, it affects the header one as well.

Hi @andynick! It sounds like you are using the same menu on both locations. You will want to create a separate menu in order to have different items.

You can see how to add a new menu in this support doc.

    I hope that helps!

Thanks for your help once again, @mrfoxtalbot!
I couldn’t really learn much from the link you provided – the video was very jumpy, and it took me some time to work out what was going on (and where it was happening). For me, some static written instructions would have been easier, but I did manage to create a new menu.

I just went to mark this topic as ‘Resolved’ but someone had beaten me to it! Surely the thread starter should decide whether the topic is resolved or not.
Of course, some people don’t bother to do that, so after a few weeks of inactivity it would be understandable if an admin were to mark the topic ‘resolved’ (if it looked resolved) – but my second post clearly showed I had not found an answer.
