    Dear fellow WordPress users,

I have started to doubt my webhosting provider’s integrity. Because I have several websites hosted on their servers and was planning on having them host more, I want to make absolutely sure that I will never get too dependant. So that I can always move my sites without problems to another hoster, if necessary.
The current hosting provider installs WordPress with Installatron. I want to make sure to make an exact copy of each one of my sites. One, which completely uploaded to another server, will perform just the same as on the old hosting provider’s servers.
Can somebody please tell me how to make a local back up on my own computer? And, how I can check whether the local back up will function without a glitch on another server?

Thanks in advance for your feedback!

    Kind regards,

    PietP

I use the plugin “backwpup” and have it create full backups weekly and ship them off to Dropbox, when then syncs to my computer.

    Hi Steve,

I have downloaded and used backpwpup, for some sites. I am also experimenting now with Updraft. An app that is used more and has is also better appreciated on the plug-ins section of WordPress. But thanks for your helpful guidance!

    Kid regards,

    PietP
