    Hey there,

I have created a Job within the backend. Now I have to create an order for it so the customer gets an invoice. But how do I connect the order with the Job I have created for him to have a reference?

Also when I am inside a Job in backend, how do I jump 1. to the order it belongs to 2.the Customer who created it?

When I am inside an order – how can I jump to the Job? Copy & paste the ID? No Link?

And finaly when I want to renew a Job Posting within the backend (no subscription Add on), I have to create a complete new Order, right? Duplicating seems not to work, the items get lost…

    Thanks!

Orders are not linked to individual jobs, but to job packages (assuming you’re using WP Job Manager WooCommerce Paid Listings).

If you’re just creating manual orders, then there is no link between the job and the order.

The only thing you could do is add an order note containing the job ID for reference.

You can’t jump to the order, for the reasons explained above. You can jump to the user by clicking the link under “Posted by” in the Job Data section.

As explained, there is no link between jobs and orders, so you’d need to use notes to add the job ID.

And finaly when I want to renew a Job Posting within the backend (no subscription Add on), I have to create a complete new Order, right? Duplicating seems not to work, the items get lost…

Yes you would need to create a new order.

Hey thanks for the reply. Opening an order and looking at it items shows each Job Title, so there is a reference when created from front end.

What I get out of your reply is, that actualy there is not really a way to work from the backend. I cannot quickly renew a listing nor can I create an order that is linked to a job. Also I cannot create a Package and link it to a Job and order. Did I get it right?

As a real business dealing with customers via email, chat, phone this Plug In seems not to be the solution we need ??

Ok, are you using the WC Paid Listings add-on? Can you send a screenshot of what you’re seeing?

Jobs are intended to be managed by employers from the frontend, but as an admin, you can manage jobs in the backend. You can renew a listing by editing it and changing the expiry date. You can create an order for a job package, but not an individual job.

The job is linked to the package, the package is linked to the order.

If you go to Users > Listing Packages you can see the package associated with each order, and if you click the link under the limit column it will show you the jobs listed with each package.
