Create exclude rules for specific strings? (text-based filters)
-
Hi there, first of all I really appreciate the thought and effort you have put into this plugin! It’s definitely better than my previous choice of activity log plugin.
I am working on a site where a plugin is running a daily check that appears like this in Stream:
- “external_updates-pw-gift-cards” setting was updated
- Attributed either to WP or admin user upon login
- Assigned context of Settings > Settings
I’ve been in touch with the plugin developers for the above mentioned action. Apparently it’s just checking for the latest version of the plugin?
Anyways, considering this happens once a day and is not really necessary for us to record, it would be nice to be able to ignore this in the log and reduce unnecessary clutter. However, when I go to create an “exclude rule” it will only allow me to ignore ALL Settings > Settings updates. Rather than this specific setting update.
So unless I’m missing something, I’m just proposing the ability to create an exclude rule that is text-based. E.g., ignore anything that has an exact match of: “external_updates-pw-gift-cards” setting was updated
Thanks!
Laura
