Create Excerpts

    I would like to add an excerpt to my custom post types. I am using astra theme and CPT UI plugin for custom posts. How i can do that?

    At least when it comes to settings related to CPTUI, the only thing we really have is making sure “Excerpt” is checked in the “supports” section of our content type settings page. However that only reveals and makes sure the “Excerpt” metabox is displayed for you to fill in with a custom excerpt value.

    Everything else would be using the first 55 words from the start of the post content.

    Regarding display, that’d depend on your theme and whatever blocks/modules/widgets/etc there are available and if they have “excerpt” versions vs just the full post content.
