create events in a WordPress post category

    Hi,

    is it possible to create events in a specific WordPress post category (e.g., news).

    I would need this option so I can filter my Latest Posts block to only show my blog posts. At the moment the block is showing both my posts and events I created via the Events Calendar plugin.

    Hey @sofiaminetto

    Technically speaking, events have their own category taxonomy.
    In other words, normal posts have categories, but those should be completely separate from Events categories.

    I am not exactly sure how you are getting the posts to display, but if your goal is to only show your blog posts, the solution is to only show “normal” posts as opposed to show all post types (including Events).

    Hi Geoff,

    thanks, I finally manage to solve this by indicating that I only wanted to display posts belonging to a certain category (News). All the events were automatically removed! I didn’t think it would be so simple ??
