• I sometimes used to create events on behalf other authors. I was logged in as Admin and simply changed the Author on the Event Edit page. Now, for some reason the Author drop-down list only shows two users: my own and a second administrator. All other users with restricted rights are not visible anymore.
Does anybody know what I have to do that I (as Admin) to get back the full list of Authors to choose from?

  • Are you using another plugin or custom code relating to user roles / capabilities or post authorship?

Yes, I’m using the plugin “User Role Editor”. But de-activating this plugin does not help. Also de-activating all other plugins makes no difference.

There is another issue which might be related to this. Users who have the rigths to edit_others_locations are able to do this. But when they create a new event, the events do not appear in the event location dropdown list.

Can you post a screenshot of the permissions set for that user level?

Sorry, I meant the permissions under Events > Settings > General > User Capabilities.

Is Kalendar the role that has the problem?

    Thread Starter Montelupo

    (@montelupo)

User of Kalender role group have the problem that they can not select locations created by me (Admin) when they make a new event.
Administrator has the problem that I can’t select someone of the Kalender group as the author when I create a new event.

I think the issue the use of user groups, which isn’t something native to Events Manager. Can you test with a single user?

    Thread Starter Montelupo

    (@montelupo)

There are no user groups. Every user is a single user.

Does it work if you test with a different user?

    Sorry for the delay.
    The problem still persists.

To answer your question: No, it does not work with other users. Every user can only select locations for his events which he created by himself. BUT he can edit locations created by other users.

The other issue (I’cant create events on behalf of another author when logged-in as admin) also still persists.
