Create/Edit User Capability Question

  • I installed role editor on a test site to play with. I created a role that had create and edit user capabilities. I signed in with that role and it let me assign a user as an administrator.

    I only want an Administrator to have the ability to designate other Administrators.

    How do I prevent a user role from assigning the Administrator role to new or existing users?

    URE excludes ‘administrator’ role from the drop-down list of available roles for any user without ‘ure_manage_options’ capability or ‘manage_network_plugins’ (multi-site installation) capability.

    Check if you did not grant ‘ure_manage_options’ to this user.
