In the new Checkout Page (woocommerce 8.6.1) with blocks doesn’t appear the check por create an account automatically with the user data at the end of checkout process, as it was in the shortcode checkout version.

  • Hi @quanimityes,

    Thanks for reaching out.

I understand that you’re having trouble with the automatic account creation feature on the new Checkout Page with blocks in WooCommerce 8.6.1.

You can enable this feature under WooCommerce > Settings >Accounts & Privacy > Account creation, then check the option to ?‘Allow customers to create an account during checkout’.

Let us know if that helps.

    Hi,

I have already activated the 4 options but the check to allow register doesn’t appear in the checkout form

This is my configuration in Woocommerce -> Account and privacy -> Account Creation

Permitir a los clientes crear una cuenta al finalizar compra (CHECKED) -> I think this is the option you are saying.?

    Hi @equanimityes,

Thanks for confirming that the option is checked.

    Hey, @equanimityes!

When you have the option to allow a user to create an account during checkout checked an account two things can happen:

1 – If you don’t have the option Allow customers to place orders without an account enabled, an account will be automatically created for the customer once they complete the checkout.

2 – If you have the option to Allow customers to place orders without an account enabled, a checkbox will show asking if the customer wants to create an account.

I hope this was clarifying. Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help or if you have any questions.

    Have a wonderful day!

Ok. I thought the checkbox asking if the customer wants to create an account would be showed always.

    Thank you

I have done a test: now I have the option?Allow customers to place orders without an account NOT ENABLED, ( no check option for create an account was showed, it is ok) but no new account was created. The order was done but there is not new user registered.

No account was automatically created for the customer once they complete the checkout.

    Hey, @equanimityes!

No account was automatically created for the customer once they complete the checkout.

Have you checked under Users on your dashboard?

After the checkout, if the customer click on My Account they should be able to access right away and add a password.

Please check this and let us know if you need further help.

I understand this is not very straight further and our team is actually working on improvements.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Have a wonderful day!

    Hi,
No, no new user under Users in the dashboard after checkout.
After the ckeckout, If I click on My Account I have two options:
Login or Register. If I try recover my password in the login I get error because my email is not registered

No new user account is created, not even with the configuration of Allow customers to place orders without an account ENABLED ( and checking “create an account” in the ckeckout) , and neither with the configuration of Allow customers to place orders without an account DISABLED.

I have done a test with the two different configuration and never the new account is created automatically.

The user doesn’t appear in the Dashoard -> Users and I can not login as user after the checkout.
I’m doing the ckeckout with the new checkout block page (not shortcode)

    Hi,
The issue is not the woocommerce configuration. The issue is in the new checkout page (with gutemberg blocks). I have change to the clasic checkout page and all works fine. The user is registered perfectly.

Thank you for confirming it’s working fine for you now using the classic checkout page with the shortcode. Do you need to use the Blocks version of it or are you ok using the classic version for now?

We’ll continue to review and fix the new Blocks version. Thank you for your valuable feedback.

    All the best,

No, it is not resolved until a new version of checkout blocks page fixes the problem. There is nothing to do on my part
