Create a URL that links the Posts text

    Is it possible to create URL field that turns post text into a hyperlink? I would like to recreate this custom post slider I have at the top of this page: https://infoedmonton.com

    It was created by another developer who I don’t have access to and I can’t upgrade PHP because it’s dated. The client likes it so I would like to recreate it with a custom post type but need the custom URL to turn the post text into a hyperlink. Or if stays regular text if no linked is entered.
