If we choose via settings not to update existing subscribers, they receive an error message that states they’re already subscribed.

MailChimp’s default form offers an “update your profile” link so people can update their profile. It would be great if MailChimp for WordPress forms also link to this.

As I workaround, our error message now points users towards the footer of one of our sent email messages. The error message fields do allow HTML and even support links but of course, the link to update a user profile is unique to a user.

Should I file feedback somewhere else? As this topic didn’t receive a reply?

    Hey Patrick,

That is a nice suggestion and something we have looked into in the past. Currently, our plugin has no way of knowing a user’s profile link. We simply communicate with MailChimp.com to submit data and only get error or success message in return.

I regret I have not been much help, but If we find some simple solution for this, we will definitely work on it.

I’ve asked MailChimp to enable 3th party developers to provide an “update profile link” and pointed towards this conversation. Maybe they can help out.

After a back-and-forth with Support I was asked to file a feedback ticket so the request for will reach their developers. Now we wait.
