Create a gallery from a folder?

How do I create an image gallery from a folder? After organizing all my images in numerous folders, I am unable to access that folder to create an image gallery through the Media Library. I right back to scrolling through hundreds of images in the Media Library. Where’s the functionality in this plugin?
