    Hi,

Having a compatibility issue when paired with a WebP conversion plugin, like WebP Express.

When set to convert images on upload, the plugin will create WebP versions of the thumbnails and the full image.

When Imsanity is activated, an additional thumbnail is created, that has the size of the maximum allowed physical size that is set in Imsanity.

So, if I’ve set it to resize to 1200 x 800, it will create a thumbnail:
    image-1200×800.webp

The first issue with this, is that it’s a duplicate of the WebP version of the full size image.

The second problem is that it is not deleted when I delete the image from the Media Library. The full image, thumbnails and their WebP versions are deleted. Only image-1200×800.webp is left in the database.

    Regards,
    Jovan

    Hi Jovan,

It looks like WebP Express is being a bit over-aggressive in working on the images when Imsanity is in the process of resizing. There isn’t really anything we can do on our end but it should be reported as a bug to WebP Express. If they need more assistance, Shane mentioned the dev over there has our email if they need it.

As this has been taken out of this context, I’m going to resolve this here for now.
