Simple Google Calender, when activated, crashes my site. My sysadmin said

The problem appears to be caused by the “google-calendar-events” plugin you have installed on the website.
I just disabled it and now the site loads fine. If you need this plugin, you will need to investigate why it slows down the website so much.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,
    Nancy, masstpc.org

DO you have any error log messages that might help? Does it just go to a white screen after activating?

    Nick, thank you for responding.

Sorry, no log. The page with the shortcode displays properly except for maybe a couple of blank lines where the calendar ought to have been. When I included a list shortcode a rectangular area maybe 400px high showed in a different color.

I’ve moved on to embedding the calendars using Google’s iframe code which seems to work fine under WordPress, so this plug-in has now become superfluous for me.

    Thanks anyway!
