I was really excited about this plugin – it is versatile and works with the already standing framework. However, it completely crashes my computer (where I host developing sites) when used. Specifically, it creates a loop in Apache that overwhelms my RAM and locks everything up. Thus, I am rather disappointed. If there is a fix, let me know.

    Thanks.

The only loop this plugin creates are ones that you create. In other words, if you have 100,000 posts and run [display-posts posts_per_page=”100000″], then yes, it can overwhelm your server.

Can you describe how you’re using the plugin? What’s the specific shortcode you typed? Have you made any changes or extensions to it? Are there issues when the plugin is active but you haven’t typed the shortcode?

I’ve never experienced any issues similar to what you describe.

I didn’t use a terribly long code. I asked for the latest 5 posts, plus thumbnails and just excerpts. It then looped, using all my computers RAM to the point of a crash. Very strange.

Strange, that doesn’t sound like an issue caused by this plugin. It sounds like there was an infinite loop somewhere (I don’t think you can make this plugin do an infinite loop)
