• The plugin works as supposed in my base site, but when I try to create a subdomain site I get a total crash with error 503. It is related to this plug-in since creating subdomain sites works when I deactivate it.

    wordpress 6.0
    php 7.4

everything else is updated to latest versions

Approximately how many subdomains do you have on your multisite? I’m aware of a bug that will timeout on large multisites but I haven’t been able to duplicate it myself and I haven’t had much time to work on the plugin recently. You might be able to get around the problem by creating subdomains with the plugin deactivated, then re-activating after the subdomain is created. But it might not work then either. You could also try increasing your PHP max_execution_time.

    none.
this is the first subdomain that I create, so I only have the base.

I tried to activate it in the subdomain site and that worked. Will investigate further if there are other side effects.

There’s a big difference in activation routines between network-activated plugins and plugins that are activated in a subdomain. I haven’t done much with the network-activated stuff in several years so it sounds like something has changed, either with newer PHP versions or newer WordPress versions. I haven’t tested with 6.0 yet so that could be the culprit.
