There are multiple reasons this can happen. Could it be a conflict with another plugin or your theme? Could it be your PHP version? Could it be your WordPress installation/configuration? What are the errors in your logs?
Obviously, reporting that your site crashed does not really answer any of these questions. Understandably, you are frustrated and decided to attribute this issue to Campus Directory. What else could it be, right? You deleted the plugin folder and everything was back to normal.
I wished we had an opportunity to get more information.
