• The plugin crashed my site:( with inability to access the administration interface! It took me a lot of time to find the solution. No traditional method allowed me to recover my site. The web.config file was the culprit. I will not retest this plugin.

Had the same issue. Got even an automatic wordpress mail that the plugin is faulty…

@monakine1 I just had the exact same thing happen to me: Installed Imagify on my WordPress 6 site on IIS, configured/activated it, and soon as I hit “Save”, BOOM! 500 Error – whole site is down hard and I can’t enter recovery mode.

Can someone PLEASE tell me how to restore my web.config or any other files to their original condition to get my site back up? I don’t have a back up from right before I installed the plug-in.

    Hi @tallensr ,

You must first delete the plugin via ftp or through your host. Access your site files and under “your-site.com/wp-content/plugins/” delete the imagify folder.
Then you can download the latest version of WordPress on www.remarpro.com, unzip and retrieve the web.config file. You can replace your old web.config file with the new one without any problem. Update access to your admin interface and it’s fixed!
