• Was using this plugin for many months. Then randomly could not enter my site at all. “A critical error has occurred on your site” was the message. This was right after big social media posting and high volume of potential clients to my site as well, so this LOST ME TONS OF VISITORS AND MONEY.

Called BlueHost (my hosting service) and they said “It’s the Store Customizer plugin. We can disable that for you.” They did, and the site was immediately back up.

Even if this plugin makes updates, now I DON’T TRUST. That’s it.

    Hi @theforwardmale

Apologies for this… I did test on multiple sites before I released the update and it seemed fine.

Please contact me at zack [@] kairaweb [.] com if you need me to help with anything… I’d really like to get this sorted out asap so that it doesn’t crash the site, if you’ll let me help.

    Apologies again,
    Zack

I appreciate your kind response. It is what it is. It happened. I’m not a technical person. All I know is: it was an emergency, followed by BlueHost saying it was that plugin. They disabled it, and all was solved.

Would you like me to help and get it fixed so you can carry on using StoreCustomizer?

I’m a one man team and do everything myself so if I missed something and did release some sort of bug I’d like to fix it for you and possibly others.

    Thanks

I just don’t trust the plugin anymore. It was fine for many months. Completely unacceptable that it crashed my site. Lost me lots of money and potential clients. I’m angry, not at you, but at the annoying circumstances for everyone involved. It’s just the market. This outcome that is.

Ok I understand… It’s difficult to release 100% perfect updates all the time, for any plugin, I just wish you’d have asked for help before leaving a bad review as I’m always here to help and could’ve sorted out any issues pretty quickly.

Looking at your ‘Reviews Written’ on your profile, you do seem to be very quick on the bad reviews rather than asking any plugin developers for help.

Sorry about the crash and the inconvenience that was caused.

    Thanks

I don’t appreciate your final message above. Don’t act as though your plugin crashing my site was excusable in anyway. If you blame the market in business you’re finished.

Of course it’s not excusable, I take full responsibility for it and that is why I’ve apologized multiple times, as I am truly sorry for releasing a bug, it was completely my mistake as it did not come through when I tested before releasing the update.

I just said to you that I wish you’d have let me help and fix it for you.

I have fixed the issue since, which was hopefully the same one you had… I had another user report it and he helped me to find the issue.

If you do use StoreCustomizer again and still have issues, please let me help, if you don’t trust the plugin and have moved on then all the best.

    Thanks
    Zack
