  • I tried already to delete it from within WP Admin, but this is not possible. When I try an uninstall I see the following error in Apache error.log:

    [Sun May 05 15:29:57.020918 2024] [proxy_fcgi:error] [pid 62179:tid 139757730141952] [client xx.xx.xx.xx:8169] AH01071: Got error ‘PHP message: PHP Fatal error: Declaration of DecaLog\EventsLogger::emergency(Stringable|string $message, array $context = []): void must be compatible with Psr\Log\LoggerInterface::emergency($message, array $context = []) in /var/www/urspringer.de/html/wp-content/plugins/apcu-manager/includes/libraries/decalog-sdk/EventsLogger.php on line 325’, referer: https://www.urspringer.de/wp-admin/plugins.php

    This is the same error as if I try to activate the plugin.

    I deleted the subfolder of the plugin within the plugin directory and reinstalled the plugin afterwards. However that did not help.

    OK. So it confirm what I thought. You have still have the old version.

    You will have to delete it “manually”. To do so, go to your hosting space via FTP or SSH and delete:

    wp-content/plugins/apcu-manager folder

    wp-content/object-cache.php file

    Then, you can install the new version via the WP admin…

    Unfortunately that did not work. ??

    If I try to activate it I get the error “Activation failed: error” in the WordPress UI and the message

    [Sun May 05 15:42:19.611888 2024] [proxy_fcgi:error] [pid 62179:tid 139757671384832] [client xx.xx.xx.xx:32778] AH01071: Got error ‘PHP message: PHP Fatal error: Declaration of DecaLog\EventsLogger::emergency(Stringable|string $message, array $context = []): void must be compatible with Psr\Log\LoggerInterface::emergency($message, array $context = []) in /var/www/urspringer.de/html/wp-content/plugins/apcu-manager/includes/libraries/decalog-sdk/EventsLogger.php on line 325’, referer: https://www.urspringer.de/wp-admin/plugin-install.php?s=apcu%2520manager&tab=search&type=term

    in error.log

    In the plugins folder the new version exists (if I look at the changelog.MD):

    Changelog

    All notable changes to APCu Manager are documented in this changelog.

    The format is based on Keep a Changelog, and APCu Manager adheres to Semantic Versioning. [3.8.3] – 2024-05-04 Fixed

    • PHP error when DecaLog is not installed.

    [3.8.2] – 2024-05-04 Fixed

    • PHP error when DecaLog is not installed.

    Do you have other PerfOps One plugins?

    Hello again: I deactivated the plugins one by one and I notice that the error occurs between APCU Manager and Cloudflare. The message is: “The plugin could not be activated because it caused a fatal error.”

    Hello,

    it’s also not runing with BuddyBoss with LearnDash together, it’s crashing plugin not able to activating. Php 8.1/8.3/8.3 the same.

    Looks like that other WP instances working correct for now.

    Thanks

    I think I solved it for me. I disabled all my plugins (30). Then reinstalled APCU Manager and activated it (this time it worked as it is the only plugin). It said that it has been updated to the new version.

    Afterwards I re-enabled all other plugins successfully.

    For now everything seems to be fine again …

    @m0urs : great news \o/

    @antoniomanco : could tell me if it this plugin you’re talking of?

    @agenciesfirst : when you said BuddyBoss, do you want to talk about the application or the theme?

    Hello @pierrelannoy, yes.

    Hi,

    I just tried to activate the plugin again. I am still getting:

    AH01071: Got error 'PHP message: PHP Fatal error: Declaration of DecaLog\EventsLogger::emergency(Stringable|string $message, array $context = []): void must be compatible with Psr\Log\LoggerInterface::emergency($message, array $context = []) in wp-content/plugins/apcu-manager/includes/libraries/decalog-sdk/EventsLogger.php on line 325

    even after deleting wp-content/object-cache.php.

    I also tried deactivating all plugins, activating APCu Manager, then activating all my previous plugins. This still does not work. As soon as I try to activate APCu Manager, I get the same fatal error as above.

    Hi, my website crashed with the new version of the plugin, too. Reinstall and deleting the files didnt help.

    Like I have reported yesterday here 3.8.3 always in error.
    Disabled, uninstall and install fresh 3.8.3 didn’t solve.

    Hello, I’m looking forward to any updates, today Monday I have high traffic and I need to activate Cloudflare. APCU is a good complement that keeps my database safe and I am sure that this incompatibility will be resolved soon.

    I am having similar behaviour. If I disable the plugin and reinstall, normally it works again. But on some configurations, it fails. Going to dig into this more to see what might be going on.
