  • Hi maros,

Thank you for reaching out, we’re so sorry you’re having this problem!
Fortunately we have a solution and recently released an update that fixed this issue.
I understand that you’re not able to access your WordPress dashboard, so a manual removal via FTP is needed in order to get back in.

You can remove the plugin via your FTP by deleting the plugin.
This would require access to your control panel via your web hosting solution.

Once logged into your FTP, you can find the folder under:
    /public-html/domain-name.com/wp-content/plugins/googleanalytics/

Delete the whole folder of /googleanalytics/ and you should have access to your WordPress dashboard again.

Hostgator has a great guide here:
    https://support.hostgator.com/articles/specialized-help/technical/wordpress/how-to-installuninstall-wordpress-plugins

If you’re having issues with this step, most hosting support can do this on their end for you.

Once removed you should be able to get back into your WordPress back end and reinstall our new version which is completely compatible.

Apologies again everyone on this error, please let us know if you have any other questions or feedback.

    Upgrade your php version.

    OMG …
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_PAAMAYIM_NEKUDOTAYIM in /home/content/p/e/n/penchant52/html/redscarfsociety/wp-content/plugins/googleanalytics/class/Ga_Admin.php on line 480

I have NO idea how to deal with this and my web site is gone and I can’t log in!

    Hi Dunewoman,

So sorry you’re having issues with assessing your website.
I posted a solution in the above post of this thread.

If you’re still having a problem, I’d recommend reaching out to your hosting support and showing them this post. They should be able to access your FTP for you and remove the plugin manually.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

    Hi,
Please help. I am trying to upgrade which caused an error. I deleted the folder as you suggested and now reinstalled but the newer version is giving fatal error on activation ?

    thanks

The post by Brandon above worked for me. Just called hosting (GoDaddy) and they deleted the folder for me. Now back on line … thanks Brandon though I’m a bit nervous about activating the plugin again. That will be an after the holidays deal.

@heiglandreas @sn99an @maros7 Thanks for your patience. We have found a solution for this in the next version 2.0.2, which is coming out very soon!

    Thanks.
Any idea when it is coming out? I don’t like that I am losing my data. This was the season for me ??
