• Installation took out my entire WordPress system, including the control panel. Their blog indicates a known bug on Windows, but the installation page provided no warning!

  • Hi @intrepidscout,

So sorry you had this issue! We’d really love to help you out with this. Also, please note that reports of this are a recent problem that’s been cropping up, and we’re working hard to solve it. Can you verify which version of the plugin did this? I believe this should be solved with 4.4.1.1 (the latest version).

Let me know and we can work on it together!

    Best,

    Shelby

I don’t recall the specific version number. I installed it from the WordPress system six days ago, and the listing currently says it was updated five days ago, so it was probably the last version.

    Hi @intrepidscout,

Thanks for following up to confirm! If you’re able to access your site’s server via FTP to upload files, you can try installing version 4.4.1.1 manually to see if it resolves your issue. If you need help, you can find more information on how to manually install or update plugins via FTP here on the WordPress Codex.

Let us know if you should have any questions as you’re navigating this process–we’d be more than glad to assist! Thanks so much for your patience as we work to get things straightened out for you here! ??
