• It seems wordfence is crippling my VPS cpu, so much so that I cannot work on sites. I have been trying to work this out with my hosting company for the past few days. We have eliminated several other things like WP heartbeat and even migrated my sites to another server but the cpu load is being hammered. Today my sites practically came to a halt and the support agent found that it was wordfence that was causing apache traffic. I googled and did some research and found that you have told other people to cancel live traffic, did this and it didn’t make much difference. The one thing that did work and were we saw a 100% improvement in cpu load was when I disabled wordfence on 2 sites. After a few seconds I was able to login and work on the sites effectively. I tried restarting wordfence and instantly the cpu load shot up. Can you please tell me why this has happened? It started 2 or 3 weeks ago and I seem to remember updating the wordfence plugins. If this is the cause then I will have to disable this on all of my sites and cancel all of the pro plugins.
    please advise
