for further update…. I rolled back. no joy. did the auto-update via the plugins screen and now the settings and other options screens are blank! (brilliant). tried deactivating and manually updating via FTP. still no joy.

am I now forced to delete my galleries/sliders and go find a new plugin that actually works??

i see that nobody gets responses on here for days, so rather than have a pissed of client, I’ll take that action.

truly love working 4-5 hours and not getting paid due to a shoddy update attempt by a plugin author…

rolled back to 2.0 now and i have the screens back.
NONE of the changes I make to the settings screen have any effect on the actual live site.

realized the shortcodes don’t work anymore so I went back in and adjusted the code on all my pages.
also had to edit the table <td> size to match the image height or the slideshow would get cut off. (looked fine in FF).

no help at all from plugin author… just fumbled my way around to find the answers.

you get what you pay for.

@jrobie23: This whole thread is 5 hours old. We’re actually pretty active right now on the forums, but given the volume, our response time isn’t necessarily that fast.

It sounds like you’ve rolled back to 1.9.13 and made some adjustment to resolve any lingering issues. If you are still having issues, please let us know.

    no, i’m all set.
sorry to be so pissy, but this kind of stuff drives me nuts!
no patience at all for the complete lack of instructions for the upgrade.

The fact that none of the shortcodes work anymore and I had to add back the slideshows using the wysiwyg editor is fine. Except that it took me 3 hours of unpaid time and my client’s site looking moronic in order for me to figure it out. Why the hell would that not be an obvious “If you are upgrading” comment??

Believe me, I don’t envy you the task of trying to make a plugin function among all the varied installations and configurations of wordpress.

@jrobie: I totally understand the frustration. I really do. I wasn’t trying to minimize that. We just have a ton going on. Two last comments:

*All your old short codes should have been working and they are for most users. There are some exceptions like [album id=0] (with the 0) that we forgot to cover. But standard shortcodes should’ve be working. The only cases we’ve seen where they are not working are from plugin conflicts. MapPress comes to mind as one that was breaking the shortcodes since the update for some reason.

*I just wrote an open letter talking about the issues we’ve seen since the update. If you are wondering how these issues could have happened, it might be worth glancing at. It’s my best explanation for what’s happening and what we’re doing about it:

truly appreciate the feedback and the link to the open letter.
