CPT permalink for Child page?

    I’m not sure I understand the steps I need to do to edit the permalinks for CPT.

    I already created a page called “Careers” Page that I made a child of the Parent Page called “About Wake”

    Then I installed CPT UI to create Careers CPT. You can see the posts in Careers CPT under “Internal Positions”.

    The current permalink for Careers Page is https://website.com/about-wake/careers/. However, when I clicked on the post like “Teacher”, I can see that the post permalink is https://website.com/careers/teacher/.

    Is there any way I can edit it to be like this permalink: website.com/about-wake/careers/teacher?

    Honestly, probably the best thing to do here would be make the teacher/coach/consultant items child pages of the “careers” child page you already made, instead of spinning those off into their own custom post type. They’d all still be standard pages, but you’d immediately have the permalink hierarchy you’re looking for, without having to try and put “about-wake” at the start of the post type permalinks.

    I’m not sure I understand what you mean. I create posts so it’ll be easier for the client to edit or add posts under the Careers CPT. I don’t need to make each post their own custom post type.

    I see in the CPT settings something about re-directs. Will this work?

    Not quite what I was getting at, sorry.

    You know how you made the “Careers” page and set it to be a child of the “About Wake” page? It would be the same process there, except you’re making a “Teachers” page and setting it to be a child of “Careers” page. Not doing anything with a custom post type, just adjusting the hierarchy of the pages to have a more nested view.
