    Hey Benny,

You’re looking to restrict user access to a post, page or custom post type so when a user logins in they can see all of the pages, posts and CPTs they’ve been granted access to?

If so, that sounds like a great use case for a membership plugin where you can create groups and assign access by group. I don’t know of one off the top of my head, but there are tons out there.

I’m a fan of Pippin’s plugins so Restrict Content Pro is probably the first place I’d look.

    Hope this helps

    Hi!
Thanks, but I was hoping to know how to let a single CPT inherit access capabilities from a specific project. In this way one could have project specific CPT.

    Hi Benny,

Sorry but I’m not sure if there is a way to do this without some pretty significant custom programming.

You’d have to create a field for the new CPT to select and reference a project. Then, when the user tried to access the new CPT get the referenced project, get the list of users with access and then compare their user IDs to the current logged in user.

    Best
