Is it possible to specify a CPT as a taxonomy? I’ve seen the plugin CPT-onomies but I really don’t want to add yet another plugin just to create a relationship between a CPT and a taxonomy. Looking at that plugin, it allows for CPT creation so it leads me to think it should be something that’s in your plugin. Am I missing something?

Thanks for your help and thanks for a great plugin.

Nothing like that type of set up intentionally made available through our plugin here. Our goal is to collect arguments/attributes to pass to the register_post_type() and register_taxonomy() functions. If that sort of mix can be set up via settings for those two functions, then technically it’s possible, however I’m dubious.

Thanks for the quick response Michael.

Looking at the description for the other plugin she specifically says that it still allows the user to use all the built-in functions to deal with taxonomies but I’m not sure if she’s registering and adding them in the same way. I guess I could look into the code and see how she’s handling it but I’m sure the code would make more sense to you than to me.

I’m curious now though so I’m going to have a look just to see if I can see anything.

I’ve found a way to make the relation using ACF Pro so problem solved for me.

Thanks for taking the time to look into this for me.

    Hi @luxinterior,

How did you solve this problem ?
    I have the same one.
