    Hi,
I got this problem for a long time and never found a possible solution. Maybe there is a hack with ACF Extended.
I explain as best as I can:
I make websites with several CPTs normally (posts, events, projects,…) and I use Elementor and Dynamic Content (dynamic.ooo) so I can create relations easily from the frontend. I’m not an expert programmer myself.
It always come the thing that if I have a CPT post I need to be related with another CPT post but to create that link I need to create the taxonomy that has the very same name.
Let’s put an example. In the web aluche.red I have the CPT post https://aluche.red/lugar/ampa-la-latina/ from “Association” CPT. I also have the CPT post https://aluche.red/relacion_movimiento/revuelta-escolar/ from “Movimiento” CPT.
In their Single Post template I want to show that relation between them and make it a link but the only way I find it to make it’s creating a taxonomy family with the very same name and then making possible that relation. Also because if there are, let’s say, “News” posts about one of the Associations I would like those posts to be visible on the association post and of course the only way it’s to have it as a taxonomy.

So, my question is, is there any way to create and ACF Extended in such a way that WordPress understand it can be used as a taxonomy being a CPT?

    Thanks a lot!

    Hello,

    Thanks for the feedback!

Unfortunately there is no such feature as “Taxonomy being a Post Type” in ACF Extended. However, there is a Bidirectional Setting feature that let you link posts between each other using the ACF Post Object Field for example, this might help for your case. You’ll find the documentation here.

    Hope it helps!

    Have a nice day!

    Regards.
