• Hi,

thanks for your great job on this plugin. It helps me to make work with URL rewrites easier.

I thought about extending those great features with some new one, but maybe it is too complex. I don’t see behind scene.
And it is define custom URLs for CPT and Taxonomy and their combination.

For example when I have CPT called “product” I can overwrite specific detail page URL, but with CPT there is ability to have custom archive page. And those archive pages are not handled yet by this plugin. Do you plan to add this feature in the future? Also for plain Taxonomy archives.

What is more complex (from my point of view) is combination of CPT and Taxonomy archive pages, because multiple taxonomies can be assigned to CPT and same taxonomy can be assigned to multiple CPT.
But maybe when CTP and Taxonomy slug is overridden, then rest of those combinations can be handled automatically.

    Regards!
    Radovan

    Hi @adorei,

Thank you for your suggestions and ideas. I really appreciate it!

I want to allow rewriting bare post type archives permalinks (without taxonomy combination) in the near future, but I cannot give you an exact date. To make it feasible, I need to reorganize the plugin’s core function and the model in which custom permalinks are stored. This will require extensive testing before I decide to publish it.

Concerning the CPT+taxonomy archive combinations, I investigated the possibility of implementing this feature a few years back and realized that there is no simple way to do so. I made a couple tries two years ago and managed to allow “post-type/taxonomy” URL combinations with a custom code snippet, however no typical WordPress theme would recognize it.
