Cover News Dilemma

  • Hi, I am trying to make my website more informative and with the most recent music news on Academia and in other fields. For that, I have created three different tabs for different topics: Main Posts will feature my interviews; Jaime’s Picks will feature music concerts, books, documentaries, and the last one Trending Music Posts. I do not know how to sort my articles on these tabs. I have searched on Google, watched YouTube videos, and read books about WordPress without any sucess. I even sent an email to AFThemes and they told me that I could not be assisted because my Cover News is the free version.

    Any help will be deeply appreciated.

    Thanks for using our theme CoverNews.

    Do you mean to use TAB widgets or want to make different sections on home page? You can find the option to select the category in the widgets. Please try that. All the options on the themes are found under Appearance > Customize.

    I did that following the instructional videos. What I am still trying to figure out is how I can write a piece of journal article for Jaime’s Pick only and that is not show in all three at the same time. For example, I wrote a post last night for Main Post and is also in Jaime’s Pick, and Trending Music Posts. Maybe I am missing a step but I have no idea on how to do it.

    You did differentiate the posts using categories? For that new posts, you have a separate category or just the same one?

    Did you select the category for each section?
