Hello, I’ve noticed that recently when not logged in, my homepage’s cover block doesn’t really work. It has worked flawlessly until what I think is the most recent wordpress update which was pushed to my site a few days ago.

When logged in, it looks correct: https://i.imgur.com/XNfkH4g.jpg

When not logged in, all the text is shoved afterward, the picture is left-aligned, and the opacity isn’t applied: https://imgur.com/eMNGC9v.jpg

I tried updating my theme(Storefront) to the latest 4.1.0 but the issue is still occurring.

I have disabled Simple CSS just to make sure that was not the issue, which it isn’t. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Your site’s CSS has been optimized. The process can sometimes corrupt applicable CSS. I suspect if you were to disable optimization (and clear all caches) that the cover will appear correctly. It’d be a shame do do without optimization though. There may be some optimization settings you could tweak so you still get some optimization though perhaps not as aggressive as it is now.

Another option would be to determine the correct CSS to get the right layout and add it to the customizer’s Additional CSS section. CSS there might play better with the optimization script.

Ah thanks, I’ll check out the css optimization settings on my host.

Ah yep, it was the “combine css” option from siteground’s optimizer, paired with the latest woocommerce paypal payments having conflicting errors. All fixed now!
