Cover and Profile Image Storage and Retrieval

  • I uses Amazon S3 for offload storage and CloudFront for CDN delivery. Everything is pretty fast when I retrieve images stored in the media library because they are auto offloaded and retrieved from the CDN cloud.

    However, UM Cover and Profile images are not stored in the media library, even though they are under the Uploads folder, so my Amazon S3 does not pick them up and the URL is not converted to the CDN link.

    With only a few Members, the speed is lagging and I can only imagine what it will be like as the membership grows.

    Also, how does this handle pagination of members?

    Hi @mokana,

    As the Ultimate member stores images in the uploads folder on your server/wp-content/uploads/ultimatemember I’m afraid, currently, Ultimate member doesn’t fully compatible with CDN.
