    Hi,

I’ve asked this before and you assured that the courses are not accessible after membership (pmpro) is cancelled or expires and users have to purchase a new membership in order to access those courses, however they can still access it without purchasing any memberships.

I can see that plenty of people have been struggling with the same issue for months now and no solution has been provided so far.

When do you think you’ll have an available solution to address this issue?

    Regards

    Max

    Hello Max,
Thank you for reaching out to us!
The solution for the membership plan when it is expired or canceled has been already provided in the previous updates. You can install a free extra addon for PaidMembershipPro plugin: Set Expiration Date to set your membership level expired in the exact date.

    Hi,

That’s actually not relevant in my case as I don’t use expiring memberships. I saw many people having a problem with it so I assumed the issue also them.

Following your guide I create a generic user and a basic membership. I enroll a few courses and then cancel the membership. They courses are still available for the user.

What usually happens to an enrolled course after a membership is cancelled? Last time you mentioned a user should be prompted to purchase a new membership the access the course again. How can I achieve that? The status of the course for the user in the database shows up as “enrolled”.

Perhaps you can provide a demo site (or share some screenshots) so I can understand the process a litter better.

    Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to us!
Yes, you are right. We value your contribution to improving our products. We had this problem with the cancellation of memberships earlier and there were many requests on this instance too, but we had released the fix in our previous updates. While you get the update message of the plugin release, you will be notified about the update of your database also. With a high probability, you did not update your database, just updated the plugin itself, hence you are facing this issue currently. Please check it on your side since it has been resolved on our side.

    Best regards

    Hi,

Thank you for pointing us into the right direction. We’ve investigated and managed to resolve the issue which is fantastic. We really appreciate your support with this.

After cancelling a membership the user’s course history (under account) disappears. Is that a normal behaviour? Our assumption was that users get to keep their study history and continue where they left off after membership renewal.

    Could you advise please?

    Great support!

Thanks for the great comment on support service!
Yes, it is a plugin behavior. Please be kindly informed that the actual progress of the student will not be reset if the student renews the membership subscription, he will be able to continue the course without a problem.
