Course with additional sections and limited test access area

I wanted to find out if there’s an option to create bigger course’s hierarchy so I could create for example 2 courses in 1 or add more topics in 1 course? I mean smth like sections that include other sections? Is it possible?

You could, today, break your course into multiple courses and then string those course together using course prerequisites and tracks. It’s not *exactly* what you’re looking for but it is possible today.

I like to be frank about feature requests: feature requests that have 40+ votes are still not prioritized for development. I move slowly (I’m sorry…) and this one may not exist for another 6 months or more, potentially.

And one more question is that I need to create a course when for example someone can register and get free(paid) test access to some course’s modules and the other modules and lessons will be visible for him but access would be denied until he buys for example monthly membership.
I’m not sure if I can do that so can you tell me please if I can and if yes then how can I realize this option?

Parts of courses cannot be made available via a membership. However, I think you should consider using tracks. You could create a membership that provides members-only access to a few of the courses in your track but the first few courses (or the first course) could be available to anyone (non members).

So did I understand correctly that there’s no way for paid members with test access have access to some lessons and modules and see other modules that they have not access to until they buy monthly membership for example but still I can create one course for members with test access and different course for monthly members?

It is *NOT POSSIBLE* to make an access plan which will only provide access to *PART* of a course. You cannot do this. You are understanding me correctly.

A prerequisite can be set for any course under the “Restrictions” area of a course. This allows you to ensure that a student completes, for example, Course A before they can start in on Course B.

So if you create a track with 4 courses, you can ensure they’re completed in the correct order.

You can use a membership to define the last 2 courses as “bonus” courses available only to your members.

The first two courses could be made open to anyone who wishes to enroll and purchase.

I’d like to add a layer of video / audio analytics / tracking to LifterLMS at some point, I’ve actually started on the project but it’s a nice to have given our roadmap at the moment so abandoned and will return to it later.
