Course that runs every Thursday for 8 weeks

    We are testing the free version prior to purchasing the Pro, and although I have seen questions similar to mine, I have not found an answer (that I understand). We are trying to create registrations for classes. Some are one day courses, which is fine, however I do not see how to create a “long” event – such as a course which meets each Thursday for 8 weeks, or each Tuesday and Thursday for so many weeks. I do not want every meeting to appear in the list (fine to look at on a calendar) but I would like the course to appear like:

    Cooking with Grapes
    Dates: 09/24/2015 – 12/10/2015
    Thursday: 5:30:00 PM – 9:00:00 PM

    Then the person could register for that class, but would not see every Thursday listed as if it were a separate course.

    Can someone explain how to achieve this?

    Just using the regular Event instead of Recurring Event and putting the day of the week in the information works fine. I haven’t figured out what the “long event” is that I had read about however. If anyone can enlighten me about that I’m sure it will be helpful.
