Course sections are not completely deleted
-
Hello again,
Using the latest versions of WordPress and Masteriyo, I installed the eLearning theme and its demo content. I deleted all demo courses and course categories except for “Photography” (both the course and the category remain). Then, I added a 4-question quiz under “Introduction” in this course just to test the question types. After that, I deleted all sections and their content except for the “Introduction” section and the new quiz in it. To summarize, there is only one title (“Introduction”) and one quiz (“Test”) in this course. I did not change course settings.
When I go to the course – as a logged-in user or as a guest – I can see the titles of deleted content (Experiment & Experiment, etc.) in the navigation panel above the footer and when I click the link, the content is still there. When I check the database, all these posts still exist. The number of lessons is also given as 5 on the course introduction page although there is only one quiz.
While I was emptying the contents of the course, in the “Introduction” section, I started deleting individual lessons one by one. Then, I wanted to see whether deleting the section would delete the lessons under this section as well. I started deleting sections; when I did this, the lessons under them also disappeared. But, they were not deleted from the database. When I compare the content with the original content of the same course on the demo site at masteriyo.com, I can confirm this. Lessons under “Important Actions” still remain in my website even though the section title is gone and even though these lessons do not appear when I edit the course. I believe this is bug that should be checked.
