Course prepayment + payment

    I need to realize such user thing

    1. user makes a prepayment 10 usd, for example, and gets access to some “free” course
    2. user makes the remainder payment (90 usd, for example) and gets access to the main “payed” course

    or user pays full price (100 usd) at once and gets all access to payed and free courses

    How can i do it?

    Hi @pavelkoko

    We don’t have a way to do this out of the box using LifterLMS.

    You may need to split them into two separate courses and then use the prerequisite function as explained here: https://lifterlms.com/docs/how-to-set-a-prerequisite/

    But prerequisite is for 1 separate lesson. dont understand how to use it for my case.

    Explain please, how you sugest to setup 2 courses?

    Hi @pavelkoko

    If you go to the course and scroll down till you see “Restrictions”, you’ll see “Enable Prerequisite”. Simply toggle that on and select the prerequisite course. See screenshot:

    Toyin, i dont understand how to implement this to solve my business task.

    so user can make payments in 2 ways

    1. full payment
    2. prepayment + remainder payment

    Hi @pavelkoko

    As I earlier mentioned, we do not have a way of doing this out of the box with LifterLMS. However, you can instead split the course into two separate courses.

    Then the free course would be 1 course and the other course would be the main course. So for the free course, you can set a price of $10, and then the main course would be sold for $90.

    You can set a prerequisite for the main course. This means you can make sure only people that have bought the $10 course have access to the main course.
