Is it possible to tie course time period to the date a student enrolled?
I can see that I can control course start and end dates, but that is painting with a broad brush.
    For example:
    Course Start 1/1/19
    Course End 7/18/19

A student enrolls on 1/1/19, and can view the course until 7/1/18. Basically this student has access to the course for 6 months.

However a student who enrolls on 6/1/19 effectively has access to the course for 1 month.

I know I can control the enrollment date, and make the course end 6 moths after that. The would effectively give the 1/1/19 student a year of access in this scenario. The 6/1/19 would have 7 months of access.

I’d like to give my students access to the course for 3 or 6 months after the course start, or their enrollment date, whichever comes SECOND.

I have reviewed the drip settings on the lessons. That doesn’t really address this question.

Is there a way for me to do this that I am overlooking?

  • @ampedandy,

We don’t have this setup to work via the “Course Dates” settings but you could work around this by adding an access plan with access limited to 6 months (or whatever period you want). This will, essentially, do the same thing because the student will be *removed* from the course after the defined period of time.

    Will that help?

That looks like a great way to handle it from what I can tell from the tutorial on access plans.
However, I suspect I’m running into another limitation when using WooCommerce with Lifter, since I don’t see access plans as an option in my courses. Under product options I can only select the Woo product the course is associated with, and define the sort order.

    @ampedandy,

LifterLMS WooCommerce 2.0 is currently in beta and adds access plan functionality (very specifically the ability to expire purchases made through WooCommerce using this LifterLMS native feature).

So you’re correct… there’s a limitation today but in the next few weeks we hope to move the beta to the stable version and open up this possibility for you.

The beta is pretty stable but it’s missing migration features to help users with existing sites transition to the new structure… Hopefully you can make due for the meantime.

    Sorry…
