Coupons Case Sensitive but force Upper Case when entering

I created a coupon with mixed upper and lower case. When entering the coupon on registering for an event it forces to upper case. I had someone see that it was forcing upper case and therefore just entered upper case which of course, resulted in a “coupon not found”. Either the coupon should force to upper case when creating or when entering on registration should allow lower case or, preferred, the comparison should be case insensitive.
